Enable DB Authentication for employees (bulk option)

To enable database (DB) authentication for a large number of employees, use the bulk option.

To avoid long processing periods, assign DB authentication to employees in batches of 500 or fewer.

Bulk option

When you use bulk option to enable DB authentication for multiple employees:

  • The password is set to <username> and the account status is set to Force Password Reset with ID.

    • Employees need to sign in using SAML and go to the My Profile page to change their DB password.

    • Once an employee changes the password, the account is set to Active.

  • Any employees who were already enabled for db authentication are ignored. Their password and status are not modified.

Before you begin

SAML authentication must be configured
