Apply effective dates for organization, supervisor, team lead, and job title

You can apply effective dates for the organization, supervisor, team lead, and job title assigned to an employee profile. Effective dates enable you to maintain historical information for key employee attributes, such as organization, supervisor, and minimum or maximum hours. They also associate attributes with a date on which the change becomes effective (such as a change in wage), or a date range for which the change is effective (such as a temporary change of supervisor).

Procedure 

  1. Go to User Management Module that an administrator uses to create a profile for each employee in their organization.. Under Employees, select Profiles.

  2. From the Name list, select an employee.

  3. On the Profile: <Name> page, go to Administrative Details.

  4. Select the pencil icon next to Organization.

    The EFFECTIVE DATES: Organization dialog shows the start and end dates of the default organization to which the employee is assigned.

  5. Next to Effective Dates, select one of the effective date options: Update value for current period, Insert value for period from, or Insert valuefrom.

  6. Enter the effective dates.

    The As of Date on the profile page, along with the current period in which this date falls, determines the from date.

  7. Select the Organization to assign the employee to. The drop-down shows the organization hierarchy. If you assign the employee to an organization that includes suborganizations, information about the employee is also available to those suborganizations.

  8. Select the appropriate Supervisor from the drop-down list. The list of available supervisors depends on the organization you selected for the employee.

  9. Select an appropriate Team Lead from the drop-down list. The list of available team leads depends on the organization you selected for the employee.

  10. Click the arrow icon beside the Job Title box, and then select one of the available job titles. The available job titles depend on the organization you selected for the employee.

  11. To save these changes and close the pop-up page, select Set.

    Organization, Supervisor, Team Lead, and Job Title in the Administrative Details area are populated with your selections.

  12. Select Save.
